Dr. Robyn L. Gobin is a clinical research psychologist and therapist with specialized training in interpersonal trauma and military sexual assault, PTSD, and women's health and sexuality. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health. Her research, teaching, and clinical interests include the effects of physical and sexual violence on sexual health and relationship functioning, recovery from posttraumatic stress disorder, and the impact of African American culture on trauma recovery and sexuality. Dr. Gobin's research has been published in books and peer-reviewed journals. Her work has been funded by the University of California San Diego's Clinical and Translational Research Institute, the Ford Foundation, and the American Psychological Association Minority Fellowship Program.
