Elisha is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Oklahoma currently. She is a biocultural anthropologist specializing in Sexual and Reproductive Health in communities of color. Her areas of research and research interests include sexual and relationship diversity, aging and sexuality, early childhood development and attachment, feminist anthropology, women’s bodies and race, space, and place, health disparities in rural communities experienced by women and children, women and aging, alternative medicine and healing, blended identities, structural violence, and erotics as empowerment. Elisha is a partner at the Healthy Life-course Research Center and at the Center for Research in Sexual Diversities in the Texas-Oklahoma-New Mexico-South Dakota area.
