Shadeen’s bias is that there is meaning in relationships: the world is built on the strengths of communities. To that end, she can be found many places around the city of Philadelphia. Shadeen is a Founder and Clinician for The People’s Therapy Group in Mt. Airy, as well as a Staff Clinician and Community Partnerships Coordinator for Council for Relationships. Outside of the office, some of her projects include: (1)Teaching sex education workshops for young people about self-respect, safety, and positive self-image, (2)Leading academic forums on healthy relationships, (3)Creating seminars for medical students to improve compassionate healthcare, (4)Conducting research on how to modify curricula to fit how students actually learn, (5)Volunteering her services pro-bono to homeless families in inner city shelters (6)Publishing for social science encyclopedias and K-12 teaching manuals on relationship dynamics, (7)Presenting at national conferences such as PAMFT, the ABSC and Playground.
